Access Bars
Access Bars is a gentle hands-on modality that was introduced by Gary Douglas in the early 1990s. The Bars® are 32 unique points on the head that correlate to different areas and aspects of life. During an Access Bars session, a practitioner gently touches these points to release the electromagnetic charge of all thoughts, ideas, attitudes, decisions, and beliefs that may have limited you in the concerned life areas.
How Does Access Bars Work?
Imagine if someone could press a button and mute that voice in your head that tells you that you’re not good enough or that you can’t accomplish what you dream about? Any limitations that you create in your life are connected to your thoughts, ideas, attitudes, decisions, and beliefs about it. Lightly touch the bars-points and you begin to clear away what’s locked up that keeps you from believing you can have the life you’ve always known is possible.
One of the life-changing components that happens naturally with each Access Bars session is the element of receiving. How often do we just let go, lower our barriers, and allow another person to truly gift us? Learning to receive is key to inviting more of what you’re asking for into your life. Access Bars facilitates receiving, different than any other modality in this reality.
Running The Bars™ is a simple, non–invasive, energy process where the facilitator lightly touches each point on the head to release the energy. Receiving this process (having your Bars run) usually leaves you with a sense of peace and space, and a feeling like there is more possibility open to you. This is an incredibly dynamic process that will not only leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed as if you have had a deep restful sleep, it can also change your life.
When run on children before exams, it can have a dramatic effect on their grades. Pregnant women report that labor is much shorter and the birthing process is much easier when they have their bars run regularly. Many people report that it assists them in sleeping more soundly. What else is possible?
There is no standard time for Running Bars. The facilitator will follow the energy and deliver only what you are happy to receive.
The average session, where all the points are run, is about 90 minutes however Bars can be done in as little as 20 minutes if you only want to work on one or two areas.
Children run faster as they usually have less resistance to receiving than adults.
There is no such thing as too long of a Bars session. For that matter, people have had results with only 5 minutes of having a single Bar run. Longer sessions such as 3 to 6 hours can often be dynamic, with life-changing results. However having your Bars run more often, rather than for a longer period of time can be beneficial.
A facilitator will always ask you what works for you. It is totally up to you, and there is no wrong way to have a Bars session.
